In Flight
Solemn bird in flight
surrounded by openness,
weary traveler alone in
his quest.Broken heart
shattered,dirty glass.
Looking through the mirror.
greeted with acceptance,
showered in cheers ,caressed
by open hands.Turning
of tides ,acceptance
to dismissal,open
hands pushing,rejection,
mirror breaks.Journey’s end.
Mourning in motion , once again.

Cycle Of Life
Stream of intelligence,
tongue fishes for truth.
Casting doubts,reeling in
potential,landing the
big one with an “I do”.
Taken from nature,far
from home,adjustments expected
protecting the catch. Fish out
of water , drowning in love.
Awaiting news,perched.
poised bedside,brimming
excitement.Loving grasp
on the newly birthed spawn.
Cycle of life,
continues,unnerving first
step.Cast into the future.
Son and father on the docks

Hopeless Romantic
If I close my eyes will,
you be there when they open?
If my tears spill out.
flood the world, will you save me?
If I told you “I Love You”
would you let me be your one
and only.A ticket for two
to eternity,the decision yours.
Can I caress you at night,
wake in the morning basking in your beauty.
I’ll stand tall,next to you,walking the world
just us two.
The words you speak tug
my heart strings,singing a tune
ever-lasting love.Kiss me,
let our hearts melt,
together joined by a blissful loving bond.

Fathers And Sons
In the autumn of mystery the fathers march,
The garden of atonement awaits.
Sins of the father,a son’s transgressions.
Bathe in the holy cascades.
Submersed in divinity,
iniquity stripped with the abiding tide.
Sons and fathers cleansed,
by the sacred light.

In The Garden
Rainbows planted
three inches deep,
Colors of life,
swaying with the wind.
The coupling of destiny.
Surrounded by pleasure-filled petals,
Our desire more than skin deep.
Blooming daisies open,
with the beats of our hearts.
Outstretched arms,
straight as stems,
welcoming stimulation,
waiting for a moment of bliss.
[with the] changing of Seasons
[the] colors fade
as our bodies age, withered and worn.
Stems slump,
the beats grow slower.
Time took you first,
the final rest.
I’ll join you soon,
Beneath the rainbows,
planted three inches deep.

House Of Sorrow
Red bricks crumbling with age.
A home debilitated and dark.
Mystical portal of a past malevolence.
A home shrouded in hurt.
Childhood lost to violence,
Marriage split on deadly rocks.
Father stuck to the needle,
Mother drowning in the drink.
Years will pass,
the memories never fade.
A reminder to the world,
with violence and addiction, nothing is gained.

A Cowboy’s Heart
A wild stallion that’s never been broke.
A man old and ragged.
Love unrequited,
time a tornado swirling out.
An old heart filled,
with an enduring love.
One last breath ,to
let it be known.
Love is eternal,
it can’t be destroyed.
Standing at the gates,
of heaven, I’ll wait for you.

Celebrity Skin
Friendly advice masks their contempt.
Judging glances slice ,like whispers in silence.
Condemned to minority,my appearance to blame.
Pushed from the social ladder,
synthetic friends laughing.
I’m the butt of the jokes, I
wasn’t born with celebrity skin.

Voyages of Youth
Little bear in a big world.
Landscape at his beck and call
Nature his ecstasy,
the surroundings his new home.
Partner introduced,
the beastly rendezvous .
Fate at the helm,
all is looking good.
Seasons change,
with it his mood.
What once was good,
is no more.
A turn of the tides,
stars and moon aligned.
Exclamations of hatred
thrown to and fro .
Conquests a many
too many to recall.
None like his love.
The first manly voyage.
Back in the nest,
mother hen disapproves
Father bear understands
Little one is numb.
Protect the youth,
a motherly mantra.
Reuniting Lovers,
once again.

The sun at my back and wind in my face
Free from the hurt ,
tired of the fakes.
Looking for comfort,
In places I should not.
My heart’s the bass.
My mind is alert.
Soul is the conductor.
My body the cult.

Lady of mystery awaits.
Fog of war hides her beauty,
Her identity hidden only to me.
Emotionless zombie,
leaving it all to fate.
A chance meeting ,
somewhere safe.
She’ll linger ghostly
like a faded memory
resurfacing in a dim dream scape.
My own concoction
Fears and hopes,
all rolled into one.
I’ll find her
someday ,somewhere.
Until that time.
The mysterious lady will
live on in my mind.

Love
is a slithering snake
rapidly wrapping itself around our hearts
hidden deep inside us all
waiting , poised to strike.

Carry me away
wind on my back
awaiting the revival
entering afterlife
Will I meet my grandpa?
Will I see my friends?
A glimpse of paradise
before falling back to’
reality.

Ten Years In A Night
“Strapped for cash”, asked the old man.
His face shrouded by the night.
“No sir , I’ve lost my way ,
no future in sight.”
Singled out in the middle
of the street , moonlight shining down.
The old man in the dark , let out a sigh,
“Don’t worry , my sweet child
things will work out in the end.”
“How do you know, if
I might ask ?”
“pull up a seat , young traveler ,
let me tell you a tale. One
that you’ll want to remember.”
I took a knee , and listened
to the truths he spoke.
The words that escaped,
gospel to my ears.
The night seemed to fade,
surrounded in a fog.
The only audience, myself
to his spoken word.
“Wayward son , worry no more.
You’ll find your true love soon.
Don’t give up and look ahead ,
everything will be revealed.”
I looked upon trying to
view , this old wise man.
In return all I sought was myself.
Staring at my twin a decade older,
a little less hair. With a wink
he became one with the night,
all was at once clear.

HAUNTED MEMORIES
It’s been years
since our bodies
embraced the moment.
You were the queen,
who I gave everything.
I have long been dethroned,
My crown shattered like my heart.
Your royalty, the pleasure of someone else.
You speak to me still,
the words are the same.
“I don’t love you” cuts
even deeper today.
As the sun succumbs
to the primal urges of the moon,
you take shape. A seductive
mist caressing each heartbeat.
A love long gone,
yet it still remains.
Free me of these,
haunted memories.

Grindhouse Presents: Planet Terror
Written and Directed by :Robert Rodriguez
Starring:Rose McGowan,Freddy Rodríguez,Josh Brolin,Marley Shelton,Jeff Fahey
Synopsis:
After an experimental bio-weapon is released, turning thousands into zombie-like creatures, it’s up to a rag-tag group of survivors to stop the infected and those behind its release.
Review:
Cherry Darling(Rose McGowan) a local Go Go dancer,El Wray(Freddy Rodriquez),and countless other people are trapped in a city over run by flesh eating zombies(are they considered zombies since they can talk??).
The story that unfolds is a gore filled , over the top action packed movie sprinkled with just the right amount of comedy. The second of the “Grindhouse” feature is the brainchild of Robert Rodriquez(Desperado).
The script is dead on,with great dialogue and a perfect cast.Planet Terror has toppled The Devil Rejects as my number one movie of all time. It’s a great experience form beginning to end. my only gripe is I wished it could have been a bit longer. If you are a fan of brutal, over the top action/horror movies then do yourself a favor and watch this movie asap.
Verdict: Buy!! 5/5stars

Below is the beginning of a short story I started on. I have yet to finish it but hopefully I’ll be able to add to it a little every now and then.
Frozen with fear, vulnerable to all incoming attacks. Clouds of my breath form in the coldness of nigh, like a mysterious mist hovering over a graveyard. The rapid beat of my heart,an aboriginal drum beating in the jungle that is my body. The source of terror,a spiritual mist in humanoid form gliding back and forth, restless and aggravated. I’ve made similar discoveries in my journeys over the years , but this one is smarter and displaying new talents. Peeking over the tombstone, that I’ve taken shelter behind,I see the spirit of Ralph Donnors.
In life Donnors was a well respected district attorney and loved husband. He was an upstanding member of his community and believed in standing up for the little man. His lovely wife, Marion, died five years after marriage and poor Ralph couldn’t move on. Afterwards he frequented strip clubs and street corners looking for company. He wasn’t a bad man, just lonely. In death his loneliness intensified and transformed into rage that is now transfixed on myself.

You’re Everything.
The sun….
The moon….
The air that sustains me.
The Lighthouse that keeps
my soul afloat in this enormous
ocean of a world.
Tinder for the fire
that had long ago burned out
deep in my heart.
You are my equal,
my friend ,
a believer in me when
I can’t accept myself.
You are my everything.

When tomorrow comes….
our friendship will prosper.
growing closer with each
second. Worlds merging.
When tomorrow comes….
I’ll hold you closer
cherishing the moments.
Yearning to hear your voice,
waiting and wanting more.
When tomorrow comes….
Whispers of my feelings
will turn to shouts
folr the whole world to witness.
When tomorrow comes…
I’ll love you more….
When tomorrow comes….
You’ll still be my baby.

Jagged Little Pieces
A tattered box
frail from past experiences,
with a vivid scene of love,
adorning the top.
Inner contents, jumbled.
Jagged little pieces
await their completion.
Piece by piece a
picture slowly forms,
a wonderful scene of love.
The last roughly cut piece
is finally in place,you’re in
my life.
My heart, the puzzle
Completed at last.
