Loss

Loss

On bended knee,
she wept,falling
tale of regret
weeping river.

I felt the weight
of the story
warm tears,aware
tragic affair

Duet destiny
severed by lies.
Aggravated,
added acid.

eating away,
flies festering
deep in the soul
lost,heart unrolled.

My Top 10 Horror Movies

June 23, 2008

I love horror movies. When I was younger I used to get nightmares just hearing the “Nightmare On Elm Street” theme. As I grew older , I shed that childish fear like a  snake sheds it skin. Now I”ll watch any horror movie. I prefer Supernatural(paranomral) movies the most but for some reason it seems this type of horror movie is rarely made. Sure Amityville Horror(Original),House On Haunted Hill,Hell House and a few others were released, but unlike the other horror sub-genres it is a minority. Enough with the chit chat on to the list :) .

10. The Alien Quadrology(1979/1986/1992/1997)
Photobucket
First off I’d like to note that I don’t consider Alien vs. Predator part of the series. The original Alien(directed by Ridley Scott) is the the shining gem of the triology. The creature design by H. R. Giger is creepily outstanding and the subject of many of my nightmares around that time. The movie is packed with chilling scenes and clearly a true classic. The reason for this being so low on the list is because while the other movies in the franchise are good none were up to the standard of the first. Oh btw the face hugger is just an awesome concept for a creature.
9.Sleepaway Camp(1983/1988/1989)
Photobucket
A nice place for a summer vacation. A perfect place to die!
Sleepaway camp is great gory fun. The story is simple , Angela Baker comes to live with her cousin Ricky and his mom Martha. Eight years later , Angela is painfully shy teenage girl. She and Ricky are sent to a summer camp and shortly things start to go wrong as people end up dead. Some of the death scenes are gorry and good . The most memorable moment of the whole series is the last scene in the original.  I won’t ruin it for those that haven’t seen it but its a shocker! The other two movies in the series pretty standard but still worth a watch. It’s being reported that more films are expected for the franchise, hopefully they are better than some of the recent crop of horror movies.
8. (tie)Dog Soldiers(2002)
dog soldiers
Six British Army soldiers begin a training mission in the Scottish Highlands when they stumble upon the brutalized remains of another military group who were doing the same exercise.A survivor of the previous group cryptical explains what attack his grouped while  the guys come upon the realization that something is stalking them in the woods. It was released in the US straight to dvd. It’s tied with Ginger Snaps as my favorite werewolf movie.
8.(tie)Ginger Snaps(2000/2004/2004)
Ginger Snaps backGinger Snaps2GingerSnaps
Ginger and Brigitte Fitzgerald are teenage sisters obsessed with death. Ginger, the oldest sister is attacked by The Beast of Bailey Downs and later that night her wounds start to miracoulously  heal and the sisters knew that she was changing. What emerges is a damn excellent werewolf movie. While the sequel and prequel aren’t near as good as the original  they still hold a spot with me.
7.28 Days Later(2002)
28
A powerful virus escapes from  research facility in Britian.Transmitted in a drop of blood and devastating within seconds, the virus locks those infected into a permanent state of murderous rage.Within 28 days the country is on the brink of complete destruction as several survivors start their quest on securing a future for themselves. Technically its not considered a zombie movie but I like the premise and the cinematographry as well.
6.(tie)The Friday The 13th Franchise(1980)
13th
Another classic horror franchise thats a must see. When you hear the word horror you immediately think Jason and/or Freddy adn thats why they are tied in the 6th slot.
6.(tie) A Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise(1984)
freedy
What really stands out to me about this franchise is Robert Englunds portrayal as Freddy Kreuger. One of the top franchises of the genre and deserves a spot in any top 10 list.
5.The Exorcist(1973)
exorcist
You cannot call yourself a true horror fan if you haven’t seen this movie. This and the original Halloween are two must watch films. I was too chicken to watch this movie when I was younger and I’ve only watched all way through two times since. it’s down right terrifying and pulls out all the stops.
4.Halloween(1978)
halloweenoriginal
This will always remain in my top list in some fashion. Joh Carpenter’s Halloween is a true gem in horror and a must watch for all  horror fans.
3.Halloween(2007)
halloween
Rob Zombie’s reimagining of of John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween. While many dismiss the film, but I like the changes that Zombie made. Tyler Mane as Micheal  was a great choice, Michael is more imposing and just plain bad ass in this film.
2.The Devil’s Rejects(2005)
devils
God Bless Rob Zombie!! Once my number one horror movie, only ousted  by Planet Terror is a wonderful movie. It’s a sequel to the 2003 House of 1000 Corpses(written and directed by Zombie ). Taking place six months after the events of the first movie, sheriff John Quincy Wydell and a posse of troopers attack the Firefly’s family house. During the attack Otis and Baby escape and seek refuge and leave a path of destruction and murders in their wake. While House of 100 Corspes was more of a grotesque sort of horror,Rejects is gritty and realisitc which I love.
1.Grindhouse Presents: Plane Terror(2007)
terror
Ahh Planet Terror! The newly crowned champ. I watched this movie last saturday and I fell in love immediately. I’ve watched it twelve times since and its still like I’m watching it for the first time. The second feature film in the Grindhouse package(the other being Death Proof) is filled with blood, guts, romance, and laugh out loud moments, the perfect blend that makes a stellar viewing experience. I have yet to watch Death Proof but if its as good as this then I’ll fall in love fast.

Honorable mentions go to
Evil Dead.- its a a great movie and used to be in my top three. Really it should still be lol
The Childs Play Franchise
Jaws

if you know of any good paranormal type movies please leave me a comment as I’m always on the hunt for good horror movies.

Courage Of A Mix-tap junkie

Courage Of A Mix-tape Junkie

Holistic harmonies
embrace melancholy melodies,
Progressively entwined chords
echoing passion.
Words crashing
barriers of silence.
Story of my life
escaping other’s majestic lips.
Heart through airwaves,
sung by others,just for you.
Can my idealistic voice
match theirs and truly express
my undying love?

Secret Treasure

June 23, 2008

Secret Treasure

Reclusive as Bigfoot
not as mean
not really hairy
hiding out.
A treasure wanted
now more than ever
an image in a cage
scared to leave.
Breaking free,falling
boulders escaping,
jagged edges of the past
From the highest to the lowest
you’ve stayed through it all.
open the box darling,
my heart is yours
.

Lightning In A Bottle

Lightning In A Bottle

Celestial cries
litter dark days.
Heavenly heat,
falls to grace.
Motion.
Transformation,
sand to glass.
As a shoe
or a finger,
perfectly tailored,
Princess.

Modern Day Slasher

June 23, 2008

Modern Day Slasher

The shows over
no admission.
Pink flesh,
beckons recognition
the shows over.

Except for him
hiding,anonymous
in the dark,danger
biding time,alone
except for him.

Drive.
No worries or thoughts
awaiting home,
a whisper in the dark,hurry
Drive!

Speed kills,not him
future,blurry vision
once pink flesh,purple
vessels rupture,horror
speed kills,not him.

Temptation

Temptation

Summer heat
melting inhibitions
carnal exhibitions
inherit the meek.

sweat scent,sweet
euphoria drops
man on top
heartbeats.

Rhythmic embrace
sexual healing
romantic feelings
too fast,disgraced.

depleted,feeding,
joy smoke  billows
head on pillows,
needing.

Written By The Stars

The night
breathing,holding
hands,moonlight twins embraced
our breath,smoke,passionate ghosts.
Heaven.
The stars,
loyal audience
cellestial,shining down.
no tears tonight,looking,guiding
hands move.

On This Night

On This Night

Our night
cold breath fades
fingers leased together
embrace love forever
heart beats
Our night
Holy witness,
passion flows,a fluid stream
slippery words upon our lips,
good night.

Ballad Of Mary

June 23, 2008

Ballad Of Mary

Mary cries
unwanted tears,battered
flesh weaker,than
her enduring soul,
She hides
misery,lovely mask
strong
he’ll never know.
Fist and words
accompanied with anger
bruises,badges of courage.
Leaving, a weakness
she’ll never give.

Tom submits
to whiskey spirits,
persuaded,mental
serpent,strikes,
venom laced voice.
Mary is gone,
replaced with the devil
he feels its false,
the serpent speaks the truth.
Started with a slap,
a one-two jab,the
final slam.her head smacks the table
the devil is dead.

Mary’s entombment,
on this dreary day
family,friends flood
the world with their tears.
Tom wears his tears,
sorrow filled eyes.
behind his mask
the whiskey spirits
laugh

Steps

June 23, 2008

Steps

Do my feet betray me?
With each step,I walk
where danger lurks.
heartache at every corner
waiting,poised
to take me
on a trip of guilt and guile
hoping,future destinations are worthwhile.
My feet will not falter.

The Millennium Project

June 23, 2008

Millennium(Part 1)

Lush tangled forest, sour stench of death.
Sons,daughters,mothers fathers,
extinguished by my shaking hands
I rest now in another time,
the last of that generation.
the smooth curves of this reality, harsh for these old world eyes.
a sterile existence,cold and sleek
mortality non-existent.
I lay in despair,dreaming a putrid death
that will never come,
a curdled soul,living millennium.
Presidents of yesteryear,reborn
no shining sun to warm the soul
a tragedy.
I lost it all, only to win it again,
to watch it slip hopelessly through my fingers.
Fiery bellowing explosions,splinter existence.I survive.

Millennium(Part 2)

fiery explosions
splinter earth,
brink of destruction
mankind in shambles
emerging
survivors arise.
Wounded,and walking
searching for
hearts,bleeding,one last
fight,a group effort
stand,attack
I’ll fight the future,
redemption of the past
wash away
my crimson stained hands

Broken Home

June 23, 2008

Broken Home

These four walls resonate
stained from years of pain
coat of wet paint hides the tears
rubble resides,untimely fate
rain cries,
the rusted tin roof echoes,emotions.
Their solution,travesty
family forced,chosen sides
wars within,detonate
a crisis of faith
Father agressor
mother the victim,
son the witness,
daughter the confessor.
Broken
A crisis of faith,detonates
their solution,war
house of dreams
lost
rusted tin roof remains
emotionless,scarred
awaiting God.
Family’s tears
etched the walls, legacy carved in distress.
These four walls resonate.

Magic Adventures

June 23, 2008

Magic Adventures

The bus arrived,a cosmic singularity
yellow in color,short in stature
to little Jane,a big adventure
She sat in the front
behind the driver
who looked like an owl,one eye, wiser.
Surrounded,oddities sat
some perched like pigeons
others,just quacked.
The red one was Bob
a mighty spatter
with each word he spoke,
covered in spittle.
she liked Bob,just a little.
Behind Bob sat,Claire
covered in green hair
stuck to the window in fear.
All around her,quirky characters
watched and waited to talk
She wondered silently
if she was an oddity
like them.
Deep inside she liked the idea
her special friends,inside
when she needed,
she could close her eyes,
step upon the bus.

Homebound

Homebound

Why does she smile now ?
Pearl white skin,
covered in black,shrouded
a day of mourning,
clouded,
her visage ageless,shining
she grins now
because she knows
her husband has finally made it home.

Survivor

June 23, 2008

Survivor

Unspoken truths become,
candy coated lies.
words,razors.
severed
emotions
bleeding insults
leading
hidden desires,
uncovered sheets,
bare
exposed
shifting anger,
unnerved,
terrified of solitude,
twin sized island,
home for one
survivor,missing
his love.

Melancholy Greene’s Coma

June 23, 2008

Melancholy Greene’s Coma

On some far away beach
somber reptiles scurry
among fields of crystal,rocks
steal away.
Everything merges with the night
come with us,
where we live
a mountain of needles
in a clearing under the stars.
We’ll dance like Organza,to first light
a juju space jazz.
A silver morning beckons,
a deep blue day
white mustangs drift
through another green world
hazards,strange lights,
a different kind of blue,
mustangs fall by this river.
What actually happened?
left where they fell,
lays united colors
driving me backwards,
back into Judy’s jungle of
consciousness.
Events in dense fog,
not yet remembered
everything merges with the night.

Melancholy Greene’s Welcoming

April,smoldering
condensation
wheezing,shrieks,joy
mother,father
contractions throttle
wheels greet gravel
eager to live.
schreeching tires,whine
accidental disaster,
fear.
tragedy bears miracles
heaven descends,tears
deliver Melancholy.

Aimee

June 23, 2008

Aimee

Aimee weeps
affliction filled tears
dampen ties of torment
bound her wrists,
hostage to the bellow
of cold steel.
stainless haunts
spreading lies,
begging her,
just one slice.
